Brief Biography
Tom Hardy was born in September 1977 in London, England, to an art-loving family. The son of a painter mother and a writer father, Hardy participated in theater courses at a young age and performed in amateur theater productions. After completing his university education, he supported himself through modeling for a while. In 2001, he caught the attention of producers with his guest appearances in two episodes of “Band of Brothers.” That same year, he portrayed the character Twombly in the film released in Turkey as “Black Hawk Down.”
In 2010, Tom Hardy starred alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the internationally acclaimed film “Inception,” directed by Christopher Nolan. After this film, he gained worldwide recognition and reached the peak of his career with his role in “Warrior” the following year. Although he gained fame later than some other actors, he quickly became one of Hollywood’s sought-after stars. Tom Hardy also appeared in the box office hit “The Dark Knight Rises” in 2012 and married his colleague Charlotte Riley in 2014.
