Brief Life (Biography)
Al Pacino was born on April 25, 1940, in New York City, the most populous city in the United States, to parents Sal and Rose Pacino. During his high school years, he studied fine arts, but he decided to drop out and enter the workforce at a young age. While working low-paying jobs such as a janitor, mail clerk, and busboy, he also began taking acting classes to develop his skills. At the age of 22, he experienced a significant trauma with the death of his mother, and just two years later, his grandfather, who had a major impact on his life, also passed away.
In 1971, Pacino caught the attention of producers by starring in the film “The Panic in Needle Park.” A year later, he played the lead role in another film, “The Godfather,” which brought him worldwide fame. He continued to make a name for himself with his portrayal of Michael Corleone in the sequel to the series. In 2003, he starred alongside Meryl Streep in the six-part mini-series “Angels in America.” In 1992, Al Pacino won an Academy Award for “Best Actor in a Drama” for his performance in “Scent of a Woman.” During the 1970s, he had a brief relationship with the famous actress Tuesday Weld.
